Elite Chess - Climb the leaderboard!

Elite Chess is a competitive online version of the popular classic board game Chess, where you can train your skills in various game modes.

Play against sophisticated computer opponents in one of the world's oldest board games and earn a place on the leaderboard! As early as antiquity, people were competing in exciting duels. Today, chess is recognized as a sport by the International Olympic Committee. Now you can compete like the chess grandmasters in time-limited game modes and prove your skills!

How to play

There are 32 chess pieces, divided into a white and a black set. Players take turns, with white always going first. The aim of the game is to checkmate your opponent, that is, to move the king's piece in such a way that it can neither defend itself nor escape. To achieve this, you must skillfully use the different abilities of the pieces. Move them around the 8x8 board to capture your opponent's pieces.

Use the different strengths of the pawn, bishop, rook, knight, queen, and king to outplay your opponent. Compete in three fast-paced modes with different amounts of time on the clock:

  • “Rapid Chess” mode has a time limit of 10 and 12 minutes.
  • In “Blitz Chess”, you can choose between two rounds that last either 3 or 5 minutes.
  • In “Bullet Chess”, rounds last 1 and 2 minutes.

Each player therefore has only a small amount of time at the beginning of a round, which is available to them for the entire game. If you run out of time, you will lose if your opponent still has at least one pawn or enough other pieces to checkmate.

Improve your ranking

You get points according to the ELO system when you win and lose points when you lose. The ELO number is named after its Hungarian inventor Arpad Elo and indicates your playing strength. This rating system is used internationally not only for chess but also for many other games.

Each game mode in Elite Chess has its own ranking. Train your chess skills, win ELO points and try to reach the top!
